Buttermilk Pull-Apart Dinner Rolls

November 22, 2017

We are so excited to introduce this amazing recipe for buttermilk dinner rolls. After much trial and error, and time spent trying other gluten-free roll recipes, we think we’ve created one which will please even the pickiest gluten-free eaters. Although duplicating grandma’s fluffy Thanksgiving rolls is still our goal, we hope this recipe will satisfy you in the meantime and make Thanksgiving a little more like it was at Grandma’s. Please excuse the picture, I wanted to get these on our website quickly so it isn’t the most professional, but the rolls still look great!

Buttermilk Dinner Rolls
Prep time:
Cook time:
Total time:
Serves: 18 rolls
  • 12 oz plain yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • ¼ c oil
  • 1 pkg Grandpa’s Kitchen Bread Mix
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp yeast
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together and place in a mixer. Combine wet ingredients, add to the dry and mix for five minutes, making sure all the dry ingredients are combined. Cover the dough and put in the fridge for about 2 hours to make the dough more manageable.
  3. Grease hands well. Using a 2 inch scoop, make dough balls, rolling gently and placing in a greased 9x13 pan. Let rise for about 30 minutes or until rolls rise until they touch each other. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. You can broil for about two minutes to darken the tops.
  4. Variations: Gently drop the dough balls in melted butter then roll in parmesan cheese, dried parsley, and garlic pepper.
