This is the best sugar cookie recipe. You need to let it chill in the fridge before rolling it out, but the wait is definitely worth it! Have fun spending a great evening decorating sugar cookies with your family!

Serves: 2 doz
- 2 ¼ c Grandpa’s Kitchen Flour Blend
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ c shortening or butter (butter = soft cookies; shortening = crispy cookies)
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp milk
- 1 small pkg instant vanilla pudding
- Mix flour, salt. vanilla pudding and baking powder; set aside. Beat butter until fluffy. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Add milk. Chill for 2 hours. Roll and cut. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-9 minutes. Let cool almost completely on baking sheet. Transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
