Gluten-Free Pizza

January 25, 2017

I have tried many different types of pizza crusts: frozen, store bought crusts and make it yourself, gluten-free mixes. However, although some were OK, not one compared to our Grandpa’s Kitchen Gluten-Free Pizza Mix. This mix is easy to make and rolls out like your traditional crusts. No more sticky crusts you have to roll out on plastic wrap covered with cornmeal, hoping you can get them to transfer to your pizza pan. Also, if you, like me, are the only gluten-free eater in your house, this dough can be split into three or four so the extra dough can be frozen. If you have been missing a delicious, homemade pizza, this is the one for you!

Gluten-Free Pizza
Cook time:
Total time:
Serves: 2 12 inch pizza crusts
  • 1 pkg Grandpa's Kitchen Bread and Pizza Mix
  • ¾ c buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ c oil
  • ½ tsp soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp cumin (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic pepper
  1. Mix together about 20 minutes. Let rise 20 minutes. Spread on cookie sheet and top with favorite toppings. Bake at 500 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
  2. Note: I like mixing together melted butter, Parmesan cheese and garlic pepper, and brushing it on dough before the adding toppings. After baking, brush edges with butter mixture.
